Meet the Naturopathy Team

AT SELFF STUDIO

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy combines the therapeutic benefits of nutrition & herbal medicine to support the body's own innate ability to heal itself. It draws on traditional principles practiced for centuries and modern scientific evidence to provide support for the mind and body.

Within consultations the Naturopaths will combine dietary and lifestyle changes, integrative pathology and any necessary supplementation using evidence-based research and pathology results. We are here to support you and meet you wherever you are in your health journey.

Meet Taylah Teschner

NATUROPATH (BHSCNAT)

My training taught me to view the body as a whole, interconnected system—where symptoms are not isolated issues, but messages pointing us towards deeper imbalances.

I believe true healing happens when we address the underlying cause, not just the symptoms. My approach to health is holistic and integrative, recognising the important role that mental and emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, environment, and nutrition all play in shaping our overall health.

I have a strong passion for supporting women through every stage of their health journey. I aim to empower women with education and practical tools so they can better understand their bodies, make informed health decisions, and feel confident advocating for their own wellbeing.

“I’m passionate about helping women understand that their symptoms are valid, their bodies are intelligent, and feeling well should be the norm—not the exception."

Meet Kate Gainey

NATUROPATH (BHSCNAT)

Kate first came to learn about health and nutrition in early adulthood when she moved out of home and realised that she didn’t know how to cook anything nourishing and healthy.

After slowly starting to cook meals from scratch, she uncovered her absolute love of cooking and feeding her loved one’s delicious meals and leaning into traditional ways of making food. Kate studied a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) at Endeavour College of Natural Health, graduating in 2016.

She is passionate about providing naturopathic care to clients that feels achievable, approachable and individual. As a busy mum to 2 daughters, she aims to make her clients feel seen and heard as she too knows the experience of wearing many different hats while still trying to do what is best for your health and your families health.

Kate believes that we are all still on a journey of making small changes for our future health and she will meet you wherever you are at, with gentle guidance to get you where you want to be.

Kate supports her clients by using Naturopathic principles including education, prevention, treating the person holistically and identifying the underlying cause of your symptoms.

Kate utilises many tools like diet, lifestyle advice, herbal medicine, nutrition and functional testing to achieve this. Outside of being a naturopath Kate loves gardening, reading, crochet, yoga, Pilates, fine dining, music, coffee and travelling.

Meet Emily

NATUROPATH (BHSCNAT)

After 16 years in the corporate world, I made the leap into naturopathy, driven by a deep interest in holistic health & the desire to help others feel their absolute best.

I completed my Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) through Endeavour College while juggling work and motherhood, so I truly understand the everyday challenges of balancing family, career, and self-care. This lived experience allows me to connect with and support my clients in a realistic and compassionate way.

Alongside my Naturopathic practice, I’m also a qualified Pilates instructor and strongly believe in the value of movement as medicine. Supporting the body through mindful, intentional movement is a powerful part of long-term health and healing.

I take a whole-person approach to health, combining evidence-based natural medicine with education to help you understand your body and what it needs to thrive. I love working with clients at all stages of life, whether you’re navigating hormonal changes, burnout, or simply wanting to feel more vibrant day-to-day.
